The article in the Florence paper was great. You and your friend in the picture have such nice smiles. Hope you find just the right team. I will be interested to see which team "fills the void in your sports-fan life" I do not have an NFL team I follow. Maybe your team will become my team as well.
ReplyDeleteDear Jason,
ReplyDeleteAs a Louisiana native transplanted into Florence, I would like to inform you of the New Orleans Saints. Yes, we have called them the Aints in the past, but have you seen them recently? They're undefeated so far this season, and they're really building their team. Yeah, so that's not good enough? Ok, location. How could you ask for a better location than New Orleans? It's so full of culture and history....and parties and fun. Plus, there is the food. And the Louisiana tailgating...which, I hate to break it to you, is of a whole different breed than any other area's tailgating. It'll change your life. Last point, the fans. Yes, they get drunk and go crazy. But you're family. Even if you were a fan of the opposing team, you're always more than welcome to eat some gumbo or jambalaya before the game and tell us your life's story. We love people, and we love football. We're passionate about our team. How could we not be? We loved them even when they were awful. That loyalty should be a draw to them. I know that this is just my humble opinion, but come on. Drew Brees. Reggie Bush. Cajun food. French Quarter. Amazing people.
I hope your search goes well!
