- Letter from the team (more on this below)
- "G Force Unleashed" flag
- 2008 Packers Team Photo
- Lambeau Field Postcard
- Packers Helmet and Logo stickers
- Packers Magnetic Schedule
- Packers Pocket Schedule
- NFL Pocket Schedule
- Packers Temporary Tattoos
- Packers Fan Club Brochure
All in all, some cool stuff. But it's not the stuff that got me here. It's the letter. The beginning reads as follows:
Dear Jason:
We welcome all prospective Packers fans! You can learn more about the Packers and the interesting history of our team by visiting our website at www.packers.com. We believe our story and the team's legacy will be all the persuasion you need.

So what's the big deal? This the first letter that is a clear response to the letter I sent.. They view me as a "prospective" fan who needs "persuasion". It was simple, but it was personal. On top of that, they sent some pretty good stuff.
Thank you Green Bay Packers for taking the time to read the letter and for your response. On a side note, can anyone tell me how long these tattoos last because a neck tattoo isn't as good of an idea now as it was twenty minutes ago.
Neck tat - hahahahahahaha!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Pack is going to be tough to beat, but I think the temperatures in Green Bay in December are going to put up a fight.
ReplyDeleteJason,
ReplyDeleteLike you I am a die hard Lakers and Dodgers fan. I am also a die hard Packers fan.
All I'm going to say is visit Green Bay, check out the stadium and, if you can, go to a game (or maybe just tailgate with some fans before the game, they are some of the nicest people in the world). You'll be sold.
Hi! I hope you pick the Packers as your team. I'm not a hardcore fan because I didn't grow up with football here in the Philippines; I'm a fan because my uncle is from Wisconsin and he introduced us to the Packers. I'm sure you covered it in an earlier post but the Packers have a very loyal fanbase especially in the local community. My uncle told us stories of how Packers season tickets were even included in wills or divorce settlements. Through the years I've started to follow the team and have come to appreciate the positive values and hard work the organization embodies. Just one observation about the picture of the letter for this post. Maybe you could have blurred out or cover your full name and address on the letter just to make sure your privacy is safe.
